Customizing Slack Notifications in Alfie

Alfie offers the ability to create and customize Slack notifications for key features like Resource Creation, Contract Generation, Role Creation, Project Creation, and Email Contract. These notifications ensure your team is informed in real-time about critical actions taken within the platform.

Features with Slack Notification

1. Resource Creation

  • When a new resource (employee) is added, a Slack notification is sent to your configured Slack channel. This helps keep your team up to date with new resources in the organization.

2. Contract Generation

  • Once a contract is generated for a resource, a notification will appear in the Slack bot, informing relevant team members that a contract has been successfully created.

3. Role Creation

  • Any new role created in the organization will trigger a Slack notification, ensuring the team knows about the new role and its associated permissions.

4. Project Creation

  • Whenever a new project is created in the system, a Slack notification is sent to track and inform the relevant users within the organization.

5. Email Contract

  • Once a contract has been emailed to a resource, a notification is sent through Slack, confirming that the contract has been sent successfully.

Managing Slack Notifications

You can easily customize the Slack notifications for these features. Alfie allows you to toggle notifications on or off based on your organization’s preference.

Steps:

  • Navigate to Slack Notification in Organization
  • you’ll find toggles for each feature (e.g., Resource Creation, Contract Generation).
  • Turn On or Turn Off notifications by toggling the button for each feature as per your preference.
    • On: The Slack bot will send notifications for that feature.
    • Off: No notification will be sent for that specific feature.
  • For each feature, you can configure which Slack channel the notifications will be sent to.
  • Ensure that the Slackbot is linked to your organization’s Slack workspace.

  • Resource Creation: “A new resource has been added: [Resource Name].”
  • Contract Generation: “A contract has been generated for [Resource Name].”
  • Role Creation: “A new role has been created: [Role Name].”
