Requesting Inventory

The Request Inventory feature allows users to submit requests for new inventory items and track the status of their requests. This ensures a streamlined process for managing inventory needs within the organization.

Requesting a New Inventory Item

Purpose

Submit a request for inventory items with a description of why they are needed or what type is required.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the My Inventory section.
  2. Click the Request New Inventory button.
  3. Fill out the request form with the following details:
    • Name: Enter the name of the item you need.
    • Description: Provide a brief explanation of why the item is needed or specify the type of inventory required.
  4. Click Submit to send the request for approval.

My Inventory

Purpose

View all inventory items currently allocated to you.

Features

  • Displays a list of inventory items with details such as:
    • Name
    • Serial Number
    • Allocation Date
    • Remarks (if any)
  • Allows you to track and manage items assigned to you efficiently.

My Requests

Purpose

Track the status of inventory requests you have submitted.

Features

  • Displays all your inventory requests in a tabular format, including:
    • Name: The name of the requested item.
    • Description: The reason or type specified during the request.
    • Status: Indicates whether the request is:
      • Requested: Pending review.
      • Accepted: Approved by the management.
      • Rejected: Declined with or without a reason.
